Zusammenfassung

Endometriose ist eine häufige benigne Erkrankung, welche Infertilität und verschiedene Symptome wie chronische Unterbauchschmerzen, Dysmenorrhö, Dyschezie, Dysurie und Dyspareunie verursachen kann. Häufig sind oberflächliche peritoneale Läsionen oder Endometriosezysten des Ovars zu finden, es können aber bei tief infiltrierender Endometriose (TIE) auch Organe wie Harnblase, Ureteren, Darm, Vagina, Sakrouterinligamente oder Septum rectovaginale infiltriert sein. Neben der Palpation und Spiegeluntersuchung stellt die transvaginale Sonographie (TVS) eine akkurate und leicht verfügbare Methode zur Diagnose der TIE, ovariellen Endometriose und Adenomyose dar.
