Nosokomiale Pneumonien gehen für die betroffenen Patient*innen mit einem erhöhten Sterblichkeitsrisiko einher und sind mit hohen Kosten für das Gesundheitswesen assoziiert. Die letzten internationalen Leitlinien wurden 2016/2017 veröffentlicht [1, 2]. Dieser zweiteilige Übersichtsartikel beschreibt die wesentlichen Standards und evidenzbasierte Trends im klinischen Management. Berücksichtigt werden neue Erkenntnisse im Bereich Epidemiologie, Erregerspektrum, Diagnostik (Teil 1), Therapie und neue antimikrobielle Substanzen zur Behandlung multiresistenter Erreger (Teil 2). …
