October brought big changes to the ESGE Governing Board as new councillors joined the team. ESGE welcomes the following members to the board:
Raf Bisschops (Councillor)
Ian M. Gralnek (Councillor)
Konstantinos Triantafyllou (Councillor)
Maria Pellisé Urquiza (Councillor)
Rodrigo Jover (Research Committee Chair)
Jeanin van Hooft (Guidelines Committee Chair)
Past president Professor Lars Aabakken stated “It was been a great honor for me to be involved so closely with all ESGE activities over the past two years. ESGE continues to be at the forefront of GI activities and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the society”.
Professor Thierry Ponchon has taken over the role of ESGE President. “Amongst my other responsibilities, I am excited to be highly involved with the brand new ESGE Days 2018 congress. This in conjunction with our expanding research, education and guideline initiatives demonstrates ESGE’s commitment to excellence in endoscopy.”
