Introduction

A new and rare syndrome named bilateral acute iris transillumination (BAIT) was recently described [1]. It is characterized by bilateral conjunctival injection, photophobia, atonic pupils with distorted margins and a diffuse iris transillumination. This syndrome is often associated with a history of flu-like symptoms and use of systemic fluoroquinolones and other antibiotics [1], [2]. We describe two patients who developed BAIT, but only one patient was treated with moxifloxacine for a sinusitis.
