Einleitung

Ein penetrierendes Aortenulkus (PAU) ist eine Form des Aortenaneurysmas mit Ulzeration durch die Intima und die Media. Ursache ist ein Riss in einer atheromatösen Plaque. Daraus resultierende Veränderungen reichen bis zu einer transmuralen Ruptur. Momentan ist die Therapie der Wahl die Ausschaltung des erkrankten Bereichs durch die Implantation einer konventionellen Prothese oder eine Stentprothese (gecoverter Stent). Wir beschreiben hier einen Fall eines PAU, das sich ungewöhnlicherweise durch eine zunehmende Lähmung des N. femoralis äußerte.
