Introduction

To date, only a few cases with complex congenital anomaly including urethral atresia and anorectal atresia have been published. However, our case is the only known case of cloacal dysgenesis sequence affecting twins, which suggests a genetic etiology of this rare disorder. The importance of this case is the occurrence of the same sequence of abnormalities in twins, suggestive of Mendelian inheritance.
