Zusammenfassung

Der ischämische Insult bei einem jungen und gefäßgesunden Patienten in der Notfallmedizin ist eher eine Seltenheit. Der vorliegende Fall schildert die Notfallbehandlung und den klinischen Verlauf eines 28-jährigen Patienten, der bei einer Trainingseinheit in einem Fitness-Studio plötzlich während einer Schulterzugübung zusammenbrach. Klinisch und radiologisch konnte eine Dissektion der rechten A. vertebralis mit einer paramedianen Pons- und Kleinhirnischämie gesichert werden.

Abstract

The ischemic insult in the young and vascular healthy patient is rather a rarity in emergency medicine. The following case report describes the successful emergency- and in-hospital-treatment of a 28-year-old patient who suffers a sudden break down while performing a shoulder pulling exercise in a gym. The clinical and radiological investigation showed a dissection of the right vertebral artery with a paramedian pontocerebellar ischemic insult.
