Veränderungen interpersoneller Probleme in der Psychotherapie sozialer Ängste
Die Rolle des Therapieprozesses
Abstract
Abstract. Background: The dual model of psychotherapy by Schulte (1996) posits that interactional difficulties hinder the therapeutic process. Objective: To what degree are interpersonal problems related to the psychotherapeutic process? Which features of the therapeutic process facilitate the reduction of interpersonal problems? Method: In the context of an intervention study for social phobia (N = 67), interpersonal problems are set in relation to process variables (alliance, mood, positive/negative basic behaviour). The predictive potential of process variables for changes in interpersonal problems is analyzed. Results: Initial interpersonal problems do not affect to the therapeutic alliance or positive basic patient behaviour, but are accompanied by negative mood and negative basic patient behaviour. Negative mood predicts less changes in interpersonal problems. Conclusions: Negative mood functions as an indicator for negative therapy courses; it should therefore be monitored and modified.
