Der Bereichsspezifische Angstfragebogen für Kinder (BAK)

Abstract

Zusammenfassung.Theoretischer Hintergrund: Es besteht ein Mangel an deutschsprachigen Verfahren zur Erfassung spezifischer Ängste bei Kindern und Jugendlichen. Fragestellung: Konstruktion des Bereichsspezifischen Angstfragebogens für Kinder (BAK). Methode: Die Skalenbildung erfolgte faktoren- und itemanalytisch an 232 Eltern und 234 Kindern. Ergebnisse: Es wurden Eltern- und Kinderversionen des BAK mit jeweils 56 Items, die sich auf 7 Skalen aufteilen (.82 ≤ α ≤ .90), entwickelt. An 181 Müttern wurde die Faktorenstruktur durch eine konfirmatorische Faktorenanalyse ebenso bestätigt wie die guten internen Konsistenzen. Alters- und geschlechtsspezifische Unterschiede, der Vergleich klinischer und nichtklinischer Stichproben und die Beziehungen des BAK zu anderen Angstfragebogen stützen die Validität des Fragebogens. Schlussfolgerungen: Mit dem Bereichsspezifischen Angstfragebogens für Kinder (BAK) steht ein Inventar mit guten psychometrischen Gütekriterien zur Erfassung spezifischer Ängste bei Kindern und Jugendlichen (9-16 Jahren) zur Verfügung.


Bereichsspezifischer Angstfragebogen für Kinder - a German-language fear survey schedule for children

Abstract.Background: In German speaking areas there is a lack of a measure to assess specific fears in children. Objective: To develop a German-language fear survey schedule for children. Methods: The data from N = 232 children and N = 234 parents were analyzed. Results: Factor and item analysis yielded 7 scales of the 56-item questionnaire Bereichsspezifischer Angstfragebogen für Kinder (BAK) (.82 ≤ α ≤ .90). The results in an independent sample (N = 181) corroborated the factor solution and the good internal consistencies. Fear scores were shown to be sensitive to gender and age groups. Correlations between BAK and alternative measures of anxiety supported the convergent validity of the questionnaire. Conclusions: The BAK appears to be an instrument with good psychometric properties. It can be used as a self-report inventory for children (9-16 years) or to assess children’s anxiety via parent ratings.
