Zusammenfassung

Die Fibromyalgie ist charakterisiert durch eher chronische diffuse Schmerzen des Muskelapparats und des Skelettes. Als Begleitsymptome werden Morgensteifigkeit, Müdigkeit, Schlafstörungen und häufig eine niedergeschlagene Stimmungslage angegeben. Häufiger sind Frauen als Männer betroffen.
