Zusammenfassung

Die zentralen Fragestellungen der Entwicklungsneuropsychologie haben sich seit Temple (1998) nicht wesentlich geändert: A) Wie unabhängig sind verschiedene Komponenten kognitiver Fähigkeiten während der Entwicklung? B) Ist Modularität — wie in der Erwachsenenliteratur neuropsychologischer Störungen empirisch nachgewiesen — auch in der Entwicklung vorhanden? C) Sind entwicklungsneuropsychologische Störungen durch kognitive Modelle erklärbar? D) Welche Einschränkungen aber auch Vorteile (z. B. im Fall von Insult) gibt es hinsichtlich der Plastizität neurofunktioneller Systeme im Kindesalter? E) Gibt es lediglich einen Entwicklungsverlauf für bestimmte Fähigkeiten? F) Was ist „normale“ Entwicklung? Wie groß ist die durchschnittliche Variabilität bei normalen Entwicklungsverläufen in jeder Altersstufe?
