Zusammenfassung

Tumorerkrankungen sind häufig hormonabhängig. Hormone, reproduktive und metabolische Faktoren sind für Entstehung, Verlauf und Therapie der Erkrankungen von großer Bedeutung. Darüber hinaus gibt es Malignomerkrankungen, bei denen zwar keine endokrinen Therapien eingesetzt werden, endokrine Interventionen aber die Entstehung und den Verlauf der Erkrankungen beeinflussen. Eine Reihe von Tumoren produziert Hormone, die klinische Symptome verursachen können. Für Frauenärzte sind insbesondere Kenntnisse zu den hormonabhängigen und hormonproduzierenden gynäkologischen Tumoren relevant. Hervorzuheben ist hier das Endometriumkarzinom, bei dessen Entstehung Hormone und metabolische Faktoren starke Risikofaktoren sind. Auch den Verlauf der Erkrankung können sie beeinflussen. Antihormonelle Therapiestrategien werden bei metastasierten Erkrankungen eingesetzt. Reproduktive Faktoren und Hormone spielen als Risikofaktoren beim Ovarialkarzinom eine erhebliche Bedeutung. In der Therapie sind sie allerdings weniger relevant. Hormonproduzierende gynäkologische Malignome sind selten. Die klinische Manifestation kann allerdings besonders eindrucksvoll sein, wie z. B. bei androgenproduzierenden Ovarialtumoren. In diesem Kapitel werden Grundlagen und klinische Aspekte der Beziehung zwischen Endokrinium und Tumorwachstum dargelegt. Zur Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge der Tumorerkrankungen wird auf die existierenden S3-Leitlinien des Onkologischen Leitlinienprogramms verwiesen (Leitlinienprogramm Onkologie). Benignen Erkrankungen und malignen Tumoren der Brustdrüse ist in diesem Buch ein gesondertes Kapitel gewidmet.
