Zusammenfassung
Ultraschall der Lunge ist jetzt eine etablierte Bild gebende Methode für Thoraxerkrankungen. Die diagnostische Wertigkeit dafür wurde gründlich beschrieben und in zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen und Studien bewiesen. Die Akzeptanz der Methode ist in zahlreichen gut bekannten internationalen Leitlinien dokumentiert. Weiters ist die Ultraschalluntersuchung der Lunge als eine grundlegende Vorgangsweise in Notfallsituationen und in der Intensivmedizin. Diagnostische Informationen zu verschiedenen Ursachen an Brustwand, Pleura und Lunge werden gewonnen: gutartige und bösartige Läsionen, Pleuraerkrankungen, Pneumothorax, Adhärenz und Invasion raumfordernder Prozesse. Die technischen Voraussetzungen sind einfach: Geräte zur Ultraschalluntersuchung des Abdomens und der Schilddrüse können auch zur Untersuchung des Brustkorbs eingesetzt werden. Ein hochauflösender Linearschallkopf mit 5–10 MHz eignet sich zur Bildgebung der Brustwand und der parietalen Pleura. Neuerdings sind auch Schallsonden mit 7,5–18 MHz zur Evaluation von Lymphknoten, Pleura und Lungenoberfläche eingesetzt. Eine Konvex- oder Sektorschallsonde bewährt sich zur Untersuchung von tiefer gelegenen Lungenkonolidierungen, wenn diese an die Pleura reichen.
