Zusammenfassung
„One Health“ betrachtet den gemeinsamen Wirkungszusammenhang der Gesundheit von Mensch, Tier und Umwelt, denn jedes dieser drei Habitate hat einen direkten oder indirekten Einfluss auf die anderen beiden. Obwohl dies auch auf viele nichtinfektiöse Erkrankungen zutrifft, man denke nur an die Folgen von Luft-, Wasser- und Bodenverschmutzung, an klimatisch bedingte Gesundheitsbeeinträchtigungen oder z. B. Änderungen der Exposition mit Zecken oder Mücken, fokussiert One Health immer noch auf die Erforschung von Infektionskrankheiten. Hier stehen Zoonosen und Infektionen mit antiinfektivaresistenten Infektionserregern im Vordergrund. Die Ursache-Wirkungs-Beziehungen zwischen den drei Habitaten sind teilweise sehr komplex, weshalb transdisziplinäre Forschungsansätze unter Einbeziehung von Erfahrungsträgern, Praxisakteuren, Wissensträgern oder Meinungsbildnern vonnöten sind. In Zeiten zunehmender gesellschaftlicher Partikularisierung und Spezialisierung in der Medizin ist dies kein leichtes, aber ein notwendiges Unterfangen.
