Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Begriff Immunpathologie werden Schädigungen des Organismus durch fehlende, fehlgeleitete oder überschießende Immunreaktionen zusammengefasst. Überschießende oder fehlgeleitete Immunreaktionen sind für Entzündungsprozesse, Allergien, Autoimmunkrankheiten und Transplantatabstoßung verantwortlich; eine defekte Immunantwort führt zu Immunmangelkrankheiten.
