Zusammenfassung
Im zweiten Hauptteil des Buches wird die Schmerztherapie mit Opioiden ausführlich abgehandelt. Zuerst werden für die gesamte Gruppe Wirkungen, Kombinationsmöglichkeiten, Anwendung in Schwangerschaft und Stillperiode, Abhängigkeitspotenzial sowie Anwendung bei Opiatabhängigen besprochen. Beispiele für die Anwendung von Opioiden bei akuten Schmerzen, bei postoperativem Schmerz, bei der chronischen Schmerzbehandlung und der Tumorschmerzbehandlung werden erläutert. Das Management der Opioidnebenwirkungen umfasst Atemdepression, Kreislaufdepression, Übelkeit und Erbrechen und Sedierung am Anfang der Therapie, sowie Obstipation, Juckreiz, Hypogonadismus und Osteoporose bei chronischer Therapie. Die Einteilung erfolgt in mittelstarke, starke und sehr starke Opioidanalgetika, für alle werden Wirkung, Nebenwirkung, Verwendung in Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit, Notfallmaßnahmen bei Überdosierung sowie Abhängigkeitspotenzial besprochen.
