Zusammenfassung
Für eine erfolgreiche Psychotherapie spielt eine gute therapeutische Beziehung eine zentrale Rolle (Crits-Christoph et al. 2013). Was verbirgt sich aber hinter dem Begriff „therapeutische Beziehung“ und was macht deren Güte aus? Die therapeutische Beziehung wird in der Forschungsliteratur klassischerweise definiert als die kollaborative und affektive Beziehung zwischen Therapeut/Therapeutin und Patientin. Der Aspekt der Zusammenarbeit bezieht sich hier auf die Übereinstimmung zwischen Patientin und Therapeut/Therapeutin hinsichtlich der Ziele der Therapie und der Techniken, die zum Erreichen dieser Ziele eingesetzt werden. Die affektive Komponente beinhaltet Aspekte wie Vertrauen, Sympathie, Respekt und Fürsorge zwischen Patientin und Therapeut/Therapeutin (Crits-Christoph et al. 2013). Im Einklang mit dieser Definition wird die therapeutische Beziehung klassischerweise zumeist operationalisiert mit dem über verschiedenen Psychotherapieschulen hinweg einsetzbaren Working Alliance Inventory (WAI; Horvath und Greenberg 1989), der die Skalen „Aufbau einer interpersonellen Bindung“, „Übereinstimmung zwischen Therapeut/Therapeutin und Patientin bezüglich der Aufgaben innerhalb der Behandlung“ und „Übereinstimmung bezüglich der Zielsetzung der Behandlung“ umfasst.
