Zusammenfassung

Aus moderner medizinisch-onkologischer Sicht gilt es schon länger den Fokus auf das Überleben von und mit Krebserkrankungen zu richten. Nicht nur erkranken mehr Menschen – hauptsächlich bedingt durch eine steigende Lebenserwartung und somit mehr Zeit unter Risiko – an bösartigen Tumorerkrankungen, sondern werden auch mehr von diesen Menschen entweder geheilt oder im unheilbaren Krankheitsstadium so lange stabilisiert, dass man von einer chronischen Erkrankung sprechen muss. Eine Individualisierung sowohl der medizinisch-onkologischen Therapie als auch folgender rehabilitativer Maßnahmen ist demnach von großer Bedeutung, auch weil individuell vorliegende Faktoren den Schweregrad der Nebenwirkungen weiter beeinflussen können.
