Schluck- und Stimmstörungen in der Onkologischen Rehabilitation

Zusammenfassung

Schluck- und Stimmstörungen finden in der onkologischen Rehabilitation zunehmend Beachtung. Die Primärfunktionen Atmung und Schlucken sowie die Sekundärfunktionen Stimmgebung und Lautbildung können vor allem bei Patienten mit/nach Kopf-Hals-Tumoren häufig prä- und posttherapeutisch beeinträchtigt sein. Diese Funktionsstörungen bringen für die betroffenen Patienten nicht nur eine Beeinträchtigung der Lebensqualität, Teilhabe, der verbalen Kommunikation, sozialen Integration und Berufsfähigkeit mit sich, sondern stellen darüber hinaus durch tracheo-broncho-pulmonale Komplikationen einer Aspiration, durch Malnutrition und Dehydratation bzw. Dyspnoe eine potenziell vitale Bedrohung dar.

Voraussetzung für eine holistisch ausgerichtete Schluck- und Stimmrehabilitation ist eine exakte HNO-ärztliche/phoniatrische Diagnostik. Die logopädische Schluck- und Stimmtherapie ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der onkologischen Rehabilitation und sollte möglichst frühzeitig begonnen werden. HNO-Ärzte/Phoniater und Logopäden sind somit wichtige Partner im multiprofessionellen Rehabilitationsteam onkologischer Patienten.
