Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden Arzneimittel besprochen, die die Wasser- und Elektrolytausscheidung über die Niere beeinflussen, weiters Arzneimittel die beim Diabetes, bei Fettstoffwechselstörungen und bei der Gicht eingesetzt werden. Die Wasser- und Elektrolytausscheidung wird mit Diuretika mit verschiedenen Wirkungsmechanismen beeinflusst: Thiaziddiuretika, Schleifendiuretika, kaliumsparende Diuretika, Carboanhydrasehemmer und osmotische Diuretika. Die wichtigste Indikation der Diuretika ist Bluthochdruck. Zur Behandlung von Typ-1-Diabetes stehen Insulinpräparate zur Verfügung, bei Typ-2-Diabetes werden Sulfonynharnstoffe, Glinide, Glitazone, Inkredinmimetika und Hemmer der Glukoseresorption aus dem Darm eingesetzt. Fettstoffwechselstörungen können mit Statinen behandelt werden, mit Triglyceridsenkern und neuerdings mit LDL-Cholesterinsenkern mit erstaunlich verlässlicher Wirkung. Zur Behandlung der Gicht werden Urikostatika und Antiphlogistika eingesetzt.
