Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von Morbus Parkinson und Epilepsie behandelt. Parkinsonmittel werden nach ihren Wirkungsmechanismen eingeteilt in Dopaminvorstufen, Dopaminagonisten, MAO-B-Hemmstoffe, NMDA-Antagonisten und Anticholinergika. Meist werden Substanzen aus verschiedenen Gruppen kombiniert. Für die Behandlung der Epilepsie stehen über 20 Substanzen zur Verfügung, letztlich muss der Patient auf das für ihn geeignete Arzneimittel eingestellt werden. Der Mechanismus ist meist eine Blockade spannungsabhängiger Natriumkanäle und so die Hemmung der Ausbreitung elektrischer Erregung. Auch eine Kombination der einzelnen Vertreter ist möglich.
