Zusammenfassung
In der patientennahen Sofortdiagnostik besitzt POCT im Bereich der Hämatologie einen wichtigen klinischen Stellenwert. Im Rahmen der Blutgasanalytik (BGA) bietet die isolierte Bestimmung des HK und Hb-Wertes eine adäquate Patientenüberwachung und ist somit ein fester Bestandteil während Operationen und auf den Intensivstationen. Die gesamte Bestimmung des Blutbilds ohne oder mit Differenzierung der Leukozyten (kleines bzw. großes Blutbild) ist hingegen überwiegend Aufgabe der Zentrallaboratorien von Krankenhäusern oder labormedizinischer Arztpraxen und wird dort in der Regel ohne POCT-Einsatz an vollautomatisierten Hämatologie-Analysatoren durchgeführt. Die Notwendigkeit einer POCT-Diagnostik in Arztpraxen und Ambulanzen im Allgemeinen ist nur in wenigen Situationen sinnvoll.
