Zusammenfassung
Periphere Nerven bestehen aus motorischen, sensiblen und vegetativen Fasern. Die einzelnen peripheren Nervenfasern bestehen aus Axon- und Schwann-Zellen, wobei man marklose und markhaltige Nervenfasern unterscheidet. Elektrodiagnostische Untersuchungsverfahren zur Bestimmung des peripheren Nervensystems und der Muskulatur sind Reizelektrische Untersuchung, NLG und Nadel-EMG. Bei der NLG-Messung werden periphere Nerven elektrisch gereizt und das evozierte Potential abgeleitet. Bei der N-EMG wird mittels Nadelelektrode die elektrische Aktivität eines Muskels abgeleitet. Häufige Engpasssyndrome in der Elektrodiagnostik sind das Karpaltunnelsyndrom und das Sulcus-ulnaris-Syndrom.
