Zusammenfassung

In diesem einleitenden Kapitel, das sich an die Trainer des Gruppenprogramms richtet, werden die theoretischen und wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen des Trainings dargestellt. Die Begriffe »Emotion«, »Gefühl« und »Stimmung« werden definiert und voneinander abgegrenzt, sowie deren Bedeutung und Funktion für Wohlbefinden und psychische Gesundheit aufgezeigt. Zudem wird der Begriff der Emotionsregulation eingeführt und es werden aktuelle Studien und Befunde aus der Emotionsregulationsforschung beschrieben, die die Bedeutung kontextueller Aspekte für die Effektivität der Emotionsregulation unterstreichen. Anschließend werden die Ziele des Trainings sowie die Indikationen- und Kontraindikationen dargestellt. Es werden Empfehlungen zur Handhabung des Manuals gegeben und der Heidelberger Fragebogen zur Erfassung von Emotionsregulation (H-FERST) beschrieben, der zur Verlaufsdiagnostik im Rahmen des Gruppenprogramms genutzt wird.
