Zusammenfassung

Häufig ist es der Proktologe, der Patienten mit Hämatochezie oder neu aufgetretenen perianalen Fisteln oder Abszessen als erster spezialisierter Arzt untersucht und behandelt. Diese Symptome sind oft auch Ausdruck der Erstmanifestation einer chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankung (Morbus Crohn oder Colitis ulcerosa). Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass der Proktologe mit diesen Erkrankungen vertraut ist und – falls erforderlich – weitere diagnostische Schritte einleitet. Ziel des folgenden Kapitels ist es, Symptome und Befunde zu illustrieren, bei denen eine weitere differenzialdiagnostische Abklärung hinsichtlich einer chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankung erforderlich ist und einen Leitfaden für den Ablauf der weiteren Diagnostik zur Ver fügung zu stellen.
