Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel soll geklärt werden, welche Ursachen NSSV und suizidalem Verhalten zugrunde liegen bzw. welche Risiko- und Schutzfaktoren die Entstehung dieser Verhaltensweisen beeinflussen. Außerdem wird deutlich, dass es einen Überschneidungsbereich zwischen NSSV und suizidalem Verhalten gibt. Auch wenn NSSV nicht mit der Intention ausgeführt wird, sich das Leben zu nehmen, so stellt es doch einen deutlichen Risikofaktor für Suizidversuche dar. In diesem Kapitel werden sowohl neurobiologische als auch psychosoziale Einflussfaktoren untersucht.
