Zusammenfassung

Die epidemiologischen Untersuchungen von posttraumatischen Belastungsstörungen lassen erkennen, daß diese Störung zu einem ernsthaften Problem der westlichen Welt geworden ist, wenn man die gewaltige Anzahl von Personen bedenkt, die Anschlägen, Naturkatastrophen, Unfällen, Krieg und anderen starken Belastungsfaktoren ausgesetzt sind. Angesichts des Ausmaßes von PTB, seiner Chronifizierung und den oft massiven Beeinträchtigungen des täglichen Lebens sind effektive und effiziente Therapieverfahren von besonderer Bedeutung. Dies stellt eine der größten Herausforderungen an das Gesundheitssystem dar. In den letzten Jahren wurden zahlreiche psychosoziale Behandlungsverfahren für PTB diskutiert, zu denen

  • Gruppentherapie

  • psychodynamische Einzeltherapie und

  • kognitiv-verhaltenstherapeutische Behandlungen gehören.
