Diskriminierung in der medialen Berichterstattung

Zusammenfassung

Der Artikel analysiert Faktoren, Merkmale und Strukturen diskriminierender medialer Berichterstattung. Exemplarisch vorgestellt wird die kommunikationswissenschaftliche Diskussion im Kontext von Themen der Migration, (Des)Integration und aktuell der Pandemie. Systematische Inhaltsanalysen untersuchen Formen und Inhalte stereotypisierender Berichterstattung. Hinzu kommen Untersuchungen sprachlicher Diskriminierung im Intergruppenkontext (Linguistic Intergroup Bias (LIB)). Exemplarisch angesprochen werden diskriminierende Text- Bild-Kombinationen (Memes) der Neuen Rechten im Netz. Abschließend benennt der Artikel einige weiterführende Diskussionspunkte.
