B. Syphilis).

Summary

The diagnostic value of soft tissue- and bone scintigraphy in various dermatological diseases is discussed. 67Gallium citrate scintigraphy can be useful in the detection of the potential sites of extracutaneous involvement in certain conditions such as malignant melanoma, sarcoidosis and mycosis fungoides.

Whole body scintigraphy using bone seeking radiopharmaceuticals has proven to be a sensitive diagnostic tool in the detection of bone and joint involvement in collagen diseases. This method can also be of great value in the evaluation and clinical management of diseases with possible generalized or multiple bone lesions (e.g. mastocytosis, syphilis).
