Zusammenfassung
Die Ätiologie des Knocheninfarktes ist vielseitig und reicht von Gefäßverschlüssen auf der Basis primärer und sekundärer Gefäßveränderungen über Bluterkrankungen mit Änderungen der Viskosität (Polycythaemia vera, Sichelzellanämie, Blutgerinnungsstörungen), Knocheninfektionen und -Infiltrationen, Kollagenosen sowie Hyperkortizismus bis zur Caissonkrankheit. Auch eine Pankreatitis, insbesondere bei Alkoholabusus, und das Vorliegen eines Phäochromozytoms werden als mögliche Ursache diskutiert. Die meisten radiologisch nachweisbaren Knocheninfarkte sind jedoch anamnestisch und klinisch stumm und entsprechen einem radiologischen Nebenbefund. Gelegentlich werden uncharakteristische Gliederschmerzen angegeben.
