Im Folgenden wird zu den wichtigsten Antiseptika Stellung genommen, soweit sie nicht in anderen Kapiteln besprochen werden (Benzoylperoxid und Azelainsäure s. Kap. 9, Zinkacetat s. Abschn.11.4). Negativ monographierte und obsolete Wirkstoffe (z. B. Phenol, Hexachlorophen, Quecksilberderivate oder Cadmiumsulfid) bleiben unberücksichtigt.
