Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen der präoperativen anästhesiologischen Risikobewertung des Patienten, der zur Implantation einer Hüftendoprothese (H-TEP) ansteht, spielen zwei Aspekte eine entscheidende Rolle.

Da der überwiegende Anteil der Hüftendoprothesen aufgrund degenerativer Veränderungen (Koxarthrose) implantiert wird, sieht sich der Anästhesist häufig einem Patienten höheren Alters gegenüber. Es erscheint banal zu erwähnen, dass bei diesem Patienten eben nicht nur die Gelenke, sondern auch andere Organsysteme in individuell unterschiedlichem Ausmaß von Alterungs- bzw. krankhaften Prozessen betroffen sind.
