Zusammenfassung
Sind bei refraktiven Patienten keratorefraktive Verfahren (▸ Sektion II) oder der refraktive Linsenaustausch (▸ Kap. 17) kontraindiziert, weil die benötigten Excimerlaserablationen zu große Gewebeabträge annehmen oder eine funktionstüchtige und klare natürliche Linse, besonders bei mittlerer bis hoher Myopie, entfernt werden müsste, ist die Implantation von phaken Intraokularlinsen (pIOL) das Verfahren der Wahl. pIOL bieten die Möglichkeit auch besagte Myopien mit guten visuellen Ergebnissen bei vollständigem Erhalt der Akkommodation und geringer Komplikationsrate reversibel zu korrigieren [1, 2].
