Zusammenfassung

Komplikationen in der Behandlung eines Typ-1-Diabetes entstehen entweder durch zu viel oder zu wenig Insulin im Blut. Wird relativ zu der körperlichen Bewegung und der Kohlenhydratzufuhr zu viel Insulin gespritzt, entstehen Unterzuckerungen (▸ Abschn. 11.1). Wurde abhängig vom Bedarf längerfristig zu wenig oder gar kein Insulin injiziert, dann droht eine ketoazidotische Entgleisung ▸ Kap. 12).
