Abstract

Since an important goal of the cooperation between psychoanalysts and engineers is to build a technically implementable unitary model of the mental apparatus, the following chapter introduces theories and concepts of defining a technical model. After a short introduction into the state of the art in perception and decision making of autonomous agents, the architecture defined within the research project ARS at the Institute of Computer Technology of the Vienna University of Technology12 is described. The current research status is shown in the final sub-chapter.
