Soft Tissue Tumors

Abstract

Pathology assessment is necessary to make the correct diagnosis of soft tissue tumors. In particular, the correct definition of the tumor type is crucial for both prognostic evaluation and therapeutic management, which can greatly vary based on the histological classification. The WHO classification of soft tissue tumors does not include a number of mesenchymal tumors such as some skin and visceral neoplasms (e.g., kidney soft tissue tumors): in contrast, all soft tissue tumors (independently of their site of origin) are covered in this book.
