Abstract

Sexual dysfunction is frequently experienced by patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) [1, 2] and it is often poorly discussed or investigated in clinical patient evaluations [3, 4]. Figure 9.1 lists many of the sexual problems associated with PD. The use of certain medications for PD (e.g., selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors used for comorbid depression) and advanced disease stage may contribute to the development of sexual dysfunction [4, 5].
