Zusammenfassung

Die Komplexität der Behandlung bipolarer affektiver Störungen ergibt sich daraus, dass im Krankheitsverlauf fünf verschiedene Symptomkonstellationen auftreten können (Depression, Hypomanie, Manie, gemischte Episode, Rapid Cycling), was oft zu einer polypharmazeutischen Therapie führt.
