Veränderungen und Unterschiede in der Herzratenvariabilität (HRV) von Patienten einer psychiatrischen Rehabilitationsklinik

Zusammenfassung

Grundlagen

Eine reduzierte Herzratenvariabilität (HRV) wurde mit verschiedensten pathologischen physischen und psychischen Bedingungen und Krankheiten assoziiert. Die vorliegende Arbeit konzentrierte sich bei der Untersuchung der HRV auf psychische Störungen (depressive Störungen, Angststörungen, Burn-out-Syndrom).

Methodik

Es werden die Ergebnisse einer Untersuchung mit Patienten einer psychiatrischen Rehabilitationsklinik nach einem sechswöchigen, stationären Aufenthalt vorgestellt.

Ergebnisse

Es zeigten sich bei Patienten mit depressiven Störungen, Angststörungen oder einem Burn-out-Syndrom, über die Zeit des Rehabilitationsaufenthalts hinweg, relevante Veränderungen in der Herzratenvariabilität (HRV). Gleichzeitig konnten die Veränderungen in der HRV mit einer deutlichen Verbesserung der psychischen Symptomatik der Patienten in Zusammenhang gebracht werden. Veränderungen in der HRV (d. h. Erhöhungen relevanter HRV-Parameter) gingen einher mit einer Abnahme der psychischen Belastung sowie einer Abnahme der psychischen und physischen Beschwerden, wie sie typischerweise im Rahmen eines Burnout-Syndroms auftreten. Des Weiteren war durch die Veränderung relevanter HRV-Parameter auch die Veränderung psychischer Symptome (Depressivität, Ängstlichkeit, Phobische Angst, Burnout Symptomatik) vorherzusagen.

Schlussfolgerungen

Die vorliegende Arbeit zeigte, dass im Rahmen der Untersuchung des Zusammenhangs der HRV mit subjektiven Daten vor allem jene HRV-Parameter eine Bedeutung (im Sinne signifikanter Ergebnisse) hatten, welchen parasympathische Aktivität zu Grunde liegt. Diese Ergebnisse sind im Kontext von Theorien interessant, welche die vagal vermittelte HRV in einem positiven Zusammenhang zur Selbstregulation, Anpassungsfähigkeit und positiven interpersonalen Interaktionen eines Individuums sehen.
