Die am EHA Virtual 2021 präsentierte Interimsanalyse von Teil 2 der CASSIOPEIA-Studie hat gezeigt, dass neu diagnostizierte MM-Patienten, die nach einer autologen Stammzelltransplantation und Induktions- und Konsolidierungsbehandlung mit Bortezomib, Thalidomid und Dexamethason (VTd) eine Erhaltungstherapie mit Daratumumab erhalten haben, ein signifikant längeres PFS aufweisen als die Beobachtungsgruppe.

Die rezent in der vorgestellten Ergebnisse der Phase-II-Multizenterstudie BEYOND legen nahe, dass auch Patienten mit nicht-transfusionsabhängiger ß-Thalassämie (NTDT) von einer Therapie mit dem ERA profitieren können.

Ältere oder vorerkrankte Patienten mit chronischer lymphatischer Leukämie (CLL) bzw. mit kleinzelligem lymphozytischem Lymphom (SLL) lebten unter dem oralen Erstlinientherapieregime mit dem oralen BTK-Inhibitor Ibrutinib und dem oralen BCL-2-Inhibitor Venetoclax länger progressionsfrei als unter Standardimmunchemotherapie.

Unter der Therapie mit Blinatumomab und Ponatinib zeigten sowohl neu diagnostizierte als auch relapsierte/refraktäre Ph+ ALL-Patienten tiefe und langanhaltende Remissionen. Dies legt nahe, dass bei Patienten, die bereits in der Erstlinie mit diesem Regime behandelt werden, möglicherweise auf eine Chemotherapie sowie eine allogene Stammzelltransplantation (aSZT) verzichtet werden kann.
