Ungefähr 5 % der jährlich diagnostizierten Prostatakarzinome präsentieren sich in einem fortgeschrittenen Stadium. In abnehmender Häufigkeit zeigt sich diese Metastasierung in den Lymphknoten, den Knochen sowie viszeralen Organen. Das Tumorgrading und -stadium sowie die Ausprägung der Metastasierung sind wichtige prognostische Faktoren. Unter Berücksichtigung dieser heterogenen Patientenpopulation liegt die aktuelle Lebenserwartung des metastasierten Prostatakarzinoms unter singulärer Androgendeprivationstherapie derzeit bei 42 Monaten im Median [1]. Ohne adäquate Therapie kommt es nebst Beschwerden durch die (meist ossären) Fernmetastasen zu lokalen Komplikationen wie Blasenentleerungsstörung, Harnabflussstörungen durch Ureterenkompression/-infiltration und Makrohämaturie [2]. …
