Zusammenfassung

Entzündungsreaktionen können zur Entstehung einer Depression beitragen. Deshalb kann es sinnvoll sein, depressive Patient:innen nach Bestimmung der Entzündungswerte mittels entzündungshemmender Therapie zu behandeln. Wir berichten von einer Patientin mit Herbst-Winter-Depression, einer Subform der chronisch rezidivierenden depressiven Störung, die erfolgreich mit Omega-3-Fettsäuren behandelt wurde.
