Zusammenfassung

In einer Vergleichsstudie wurden 21 Fälle von Astvenenthrombose und 15 Fälle von Zentralvenenthrombose, die einer Argon-Laserkoagulation unterzogen wurden, einer nur medikamentös behandelten Kontrollgruppe gegenübergestellt. Dabei zeigte sich weder bei Astvenenthrombose noch bei Zentralvenenthrombose ein statistisch signifikanter Einfluß der Argon-Laserkoagulation auf den Visusverlauf. Während jedoch nach Zentralvenenthrombose in der mit Laser behandelten Gruppe kein einziger Fall von hämorrhagischem Glaukom beobachtet wurde, traten in der Kontrollgruppe 3 Fälle (20%) dieser Spätkomplikation auf.

Summary

In this paper 21 cases of branch vein thrombosis and 15 cases of central retinal vein thrombosis treated by argon laster photocoagulation are compared with an untreated control group. The visual prognosis after photocoagulation was no better in the treated group than in the control group. After central retinal vein occlusion, three cases of hemorrhagic glaucoma (20%) were observed in the control group but there was no rubeosis iridis or hemorrhagic glaucoma in the group treated by argon laser therapy.
