Zusammenfassung

Die Implantationschirurgie führt zu einer größeren Endothelschädigung als die normale Kataraktextraktion. Dies ist Folge des direkten Kontaktes von Kunstlinse und Endothel während der Operation. Um diesen Kontakt zu vermindern, wird Hyaluronsäure zwischen Kunstlinse und Endothel in die Vorderkammer instilliert. In einer klinischen Studie werden die Auswirkungen dieser Maßnahme auf den Endothelzellverlust untersucht. Durch die dargestellte Technik läßt sich der Endothelzellverlust verringern.

Summary

In implant surgery there is more damage to the endothelium than in normal cataract extraction. This damage results from the implant coming into direct contact with the endothelium during surgery. To minimize this contact, hyaluronic acid was instilled into the anterior chamber between the implant and the endothelium. The effect of this procedure postoperative endothelial cell density was investigated in a conincal study. The result was found to be a decrease in endothelial cell loss.
