Zusammenfassung

Depression hat insofern einen zeitphilosophischen Hintergrund, als es gerade das „Hereinragen der Vergangenheit in die Gegenwart” (M. Theunissen) ist, das in der Melancholie das psychische Leben bestimmt und die Gegenwart despontaneisiert. Insofern sind Depressive in einer Verfasstheit der Rückwendung gefangen. Den neurobiologischen Hintergründen wird mit elektrophysiologischen Methoden nachgegangen. Anhand des Theaterstücks „4.48 Psychose” von Sarah Kane wird die Subjektivität der depressiven Verfasstheit repräsentiert.

Abstract

Depression contains a time-related philosophical background which can be characterized by the „impact of the past into the present” (M. Theunissen), an influence, which determines a psychic reality in melancholia and despontaneouses the presence. Thus depressive patients are trapped in a position of acknowledgement of the past. The neurobiological basis of this is explored using electrophysiological methods. A representation of the subjective position in depression is performed within the theatre work „4.48 Psychosis” by Sarah Kane.
