Abstract

Two diesters of the new diterpene alcohol 20-deoxy-5ζ-hydroxyphorbol, milliamines H and I, have been isolated from Euphorbia milii. Both carry an acelate group in position 13. In position 12, milliamine H contains a 2-[2-(methylamino)benzoyl]aminobenzoyl dipeplide moiely and milliamine I a 2-(2-hydroxybenzoyl)aminobenzoyl moiety. They exhibil weak (H) or virtually no (I) irritant activities.
