Zusammenfassung

Es wird über ein umfangreiches Enthospitalisierungsprojekt der Rheinischen Kliniken Bedburg-Hau berichtet, das die Verbesserung der Lebensqualität von 900 Langzeitpatienten zum Ziel hatte. Ca. 340 neue Plätze in gemeindeintegrierten Wohnformen wurden geschaffen, teils über freie Träger, teils als dezentrale Dependancen der Klinik. Parallel dazu wurden aber 81 schwer gestörte chronisch Kranke aus den Akutbereichen und der Forensik neu auf Reha-Stationen aufgenommen, trotz strenger Indikationsstellung. Es wird die Auffassung vertreten, dass im Spektrum einer gemeindenahen Versorgungsstruktur die Reha-Bereiche an psychiatrischen Kliniken auch zukünftig eine wichtige Funktion behalten. Sie können ein spezifisches Milieu bereitstellen und sehr individuelle Entwicklungen ermöglichen für jene „schwierigen Menschen”, die zwischen Krankenhaus und „Gemeinde” ihren Platz noch nicht gefunden haben.

The text reports about an extensive project of dehospitalization of the hospitals in the Rhine area of Bedburg-Hau, which aimed at a better quality of life of 900 long stay patients. They installed about 340 new places in housing conditions integrated into community life. This happend by the support of independent institutions and partially by decentralized dependance of the hospital. But at the same time 81 seriously mentally ill from the acute and the forensic wards were additionally taken into the wards of rehabilitation in spite of strict indication. The opinion presented in the article is that within a supply closed to a community the wards of rehabilitation in psychiatric hospitals will still have an important role even in future. They can offer a specific milieu and make possible really individual development of those difficult people who have not found their special place between hospital and community.
