Uveitis masquerade syndrome and orbital lymphoma are two entities that can mimic an inflammatory disease. In both conditions a delay in diagnosis can affect the vital prognosis. Uveitis masquerade syndrome is observed in up to 5 % of patients referred for uveitis at a tertiary center [1]. It represents a wide group of ocular manifestations which do not respond well to well conducted corticosteroids or immunosuppressive therapy. The pseudo-uveitis or masquerade syndrome includes tumoral eye diseases, paraneoplasic syndrome, degenerative eye diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and metabolic diseases such as amyloidosis, ocular trauma or Schwarz syndrome.
