Zusammenfassung

Die Pessartherapie ist eine ausgezeichnete konservative Maßnahme. Sie bewährt sich nach wie vor in jenen Fällen von Deszensus oder Prolaps von Vagina und Uterus, in denen eine Operation nicht bzw. noch nicht indiziert ist, sowie bei hochbetagten Patientinnen. Regelmäßige Kontrollen der Vaginalschleimhaut und der Zufriedenheit der Patientinnen sind unerlässlich.
