Psychiatrische Notfälle und Krisen

Zusammenfassung

Das Angebot an Hilfsdiensten zur Behandlung und Betreuung psychiatrischer Notfälle und psychischer Krisen ist mittlerweile vielfältig aber oft unübersichtlich. Ziel dieses Artikels ist die Darstellung therapeutisch und präventiv wirksamer Strategien der psychologisch-seelischen Notfallhilfe. Psychische Erste Hilfe, Krisenintervention und Notfallseelsorge werden definiert und voneinander abgegrenzt. Eine qualitativ hochwertige Versorgung des Patienten beinhaltet aber all diese Elemente, die sinnvoll abgestimmt ineinander greifen müssen, um seelische Not zu lindern und Folgeschäden zu vermeiden. Notärzte und Rettungsdienstmitarbeiter übernehmen dabei Verantwortung in der Akutversorgung und in der Delegation an sekundäre Hilfsdienste.

Abstract

In recent years an increasing infrastructure has developed in Germany to handle psychiatric emergency situations (PES) and psycho-social crises. However, these services and institutions are barely known by the preclinical medical staff, and their indications are often confounding. The aim of this article is to give an overview of the current therapeutic and preventive strategies in psychological and mental help. Psychological first aid, crisis intervention and emergency pastoral care are defined, and their different principles, tasks, and abilities are presented. An effective and high-quality treatment of patients affords the sensible integration of all of these elements to mitigate suffering and misery and prevent consecutive disturbances. Emergency physicians and paramedics have to take responsibility in both acute intervention and patients' delegation to secondary services.
